The shower

The size of a standard receiver is a square of 80 side centimetres. But one easily finds receivers starting from 70 cm on side. Sometimes the quarters of round or the sides cut make it possible to gain place. Brood in an angle, the cabin is then made forget. The bath-tub

1,60 X 0,70: here are dimensions standards of a bath-tub. But these measurements can be reduced to 1, lengthwise if the bathroom imposes it. In lower part, better is worth to install a shower. Pentagonal bath-tubs, with a truncated party (50cm broad) make it possible to gain space. The bath-tubs of angle can better be appropriate for the configuration of your bathroom but they are rather devourer of space.

Side material, the acrylic resin and the components of synthesis oust little by little the enamelled cast iron. Non-skid, easy of conversation, they make it possible to carry out forms and varied colors but must be of good quality. If your budget is reduced more, choose enamelled steel.

If your budget allows it to you, you can choose a balneotherapy. Three systems exist. The model air which get a releasing negotiable instrument, the model air + water for invigorating massages and the mixed model which combines the two methods.

The wash-hand basin

The wash-hand basin was a long time on feet, but one prefers today the basin with a wall cupboard to him arranged below. Standard dimension is of approximately 50 X 45 but there exist “bowls” from 30 to 40 cm in diameter.

Toilets

Your manufacturer will install:

• an independent basin which is dissociated from the system of water hunting fixed at the wall. It is the flush pipe which joins together the two elements.
• a unit WC with contiguous tank. Posed directly on the basin, the water hunting forms with the aforementioned a harmonious unit.
• a wall-hung closet. This modern solution offers a small footprint and facilitates the conversation.

Dimensions standards are approximately 68 cm out of 36 (basin and drives out included).

Valves and fittings

• The mixing valve: the warm water mixture - cool water is done with only one control. A lever integrated into the beak regulates the flow and the temperature according to whether it is actuated top to bottom or right to left.
• The thermostatic mixing valve: operation is identical except that the temperature is regulated beforehand thanks to a thermostat. It does not vary whatever the changes in flow.
• Mixers: they have a beak and two controls (one for warm water, the other for cool water).

Good namely: finished the rubber gaskets and the drip which irritates and consumes water fortunes! Today the gasket is out of ceramics. It is hard and that lasts! Prefer the half-turn (the tap is closed while turning it of a half turn to the quarter of too brutal turn and which causes vibrations in the lines).

Some safety advices

Risks of burn

As of 50°C, water burns. If you have young children, prefer the taps with limiting device of temperature or a thermostatic mixing valve. This last outputs water at constant and preset temperature by your care.

Risks of fall

Prefer the non-skid squares, a teak floor, a vinyl coating or a decoy bird.

The Council: the decoy bird being enough dirtying, you can or not surround the ground of your bathroom of a non-skid tiling, then to reserve a central space (as an embedded carpet) in which you will pose a piece of easily changeable decoy bird, as soon as it is dirty.

In your bath-tub, fix at the wall a bar of hold ( useful for the elderly or in the event of discomfort). In your shower, think of the out of PVC or teak, it is pretty and that slips less!
